New Holland Agriculture recently showcased the next generation of the T5 Dual Command tractor at Sommet de l’ Élevage fair 2024 in France. The Sommet de l’ Élevage fair brings industry professionals from around the globe to showcase animals, innovations, and best practices for livestock farming.

The new T5 tractors have been updated in style and boast increased hydraulic capacity, new technology, and increased operator comfort. The next-gen T5 Dual Commands will be available from New Holland dealers in late 2024.

About New Holland’s T5 Dual Command

The T5 Dual Command range has five models with FPT F36 3.6-litre 4-cylinder engines, ranging from 80 to 117 horsepower (60 to 87 kilowatts). The tractor line has expanded rear tyre options and three front axle choices: a standard axle for lighter work, an HD axle for heavy loader work, or the SuperSteer axle.

The rear lift capacity has been increased to 4,700 kilograms (10,360 pounds), and the new 82 litres (21.6 gallons) per minute hydraulic pump improves hydraulic flow by 30% for faster implement engagement and loader cycle times. Upgrades to the outside include a new U-shaped exhaust to maintain clear forward vision, upgraded work lights and headlights, and an optional LED light package.

    Axle &Tyre Options

The standard front axle provides a 20% increase in steering capacity under load, enabling faster turns. The HD axle increases the gross vehicle weight to 7,000 kg (15,430 lbs) to take on heavier loads. To minimise crop damage, the T5 can achieve a ground clearance of 480 millimetres (19 inches) with an overall height of under 2,670 mm (105 in.) when 38-in. tyres are used.

The optional SuperSteer front axle has a 76-degree steering angle, which improves manoeuvrability during tight headland turns or working in small fields or farmyard areas. The 2,350-mm (92.5-in.) wheelbase boosts stability.

    More Efficiency

The T5 Dual Command has the Dual Command 24F/24R transmission, which includes four speeds, three ranges, a 2-speed powershift, and an electronic shuttle. The tractor is also equipped with new technology to improve efficiency and operator comfort. The auto differential lock and the auto 4wd engagement ease headland turns. The new wet disc front PTO is maintenance-free and offers more versatility with reduced noise.

    A More Comfortable Ride

The mechanical Comfort Ride cab suspension provides a smoother ride both in the field and on the road. The redesigned instrument cluster presents information in an easy-to-read format.

    Data-Driven Operations

Precision farming technology, including telematics, auto guidance, the IntelliView 12 touchscreen terminal, and ISOBUS Class 2 implement connection, can be added to the T5 models. With these features, real-time machine data can be monitored in the cab and remotely via the New Holland FieldOps platform.
