John Deere’s Versatile 5M Tractor Now Available
The new John Deere 5M tractors are all-rounders that can handle various tasks in the field and around the farmyard. The range offers five model choices ranging from 75 to 135 horsepower (55 to 99 kilowatts).
John Deere 5M Tractor Specs
The new 5M tractors come with new transmission options, AutoTrac functionality, and many ways to customise. Apart from the 75-HP 5075M, Deere equips each tractor in the series with a 4-cylinder, 4.5-litre engine. The range-topping 5130M’s power plant generates 135 HP and 541 newton-metres (399 pounds-foot) of torque.
Deere’s PowrQuad Plus and Powr8 transmission options provide continuous pulling power with smooth gear shifts in the selected group. The lever has a button that eliminates the need for manual clutching when moving between groups. With EcoShift, the 5M can reduce RPM to save fuel while supplying enough power to perform transport tasks at up to 40 km/h (25 mph).
AutoTrac, a feature already available on the 6M Series, minimises field and grassland work overlaps to increase efficiency and precision. The guidance system keeps the tractor on track in straight-line field tasks.
A Tractor Made For Small Spaces
The 5M series has a compact 4.1-metre turning radius that is well-suited for work in confined spaces and tasks such as yard work or feeding livestock. The low hood and large roof window improve visibility for front loader tasks. The new tractor series also comes with Expert Alerts, a predictive analysis feature that identifies maintenance needs early to minimise downtime.
