JCB’s Loadall 530-60 Agri Super Telehandler Brings More Power, Traction To Livestock Shed Duty
JCB launched a new agricultural model in its range of Loadall telescopic handlers. The new Loadall 530-60 Agri Super telehandler has a maximum lift capacity of 3 tonnes (3.3 U.S. tons) and a standard lift height of 5.97 metres (19.6 feet) to easily load high-sided livestock trailers.
The lift’s compact build allows it to work well in pig, poultry, and dairy sheds with narrow passages and low ceilings. An overall height and width of approximately 2.0 m (6.6 ft) on the standard 508-millimetre (20-inch) tyres helps the lift work beneath feeders and drinkers raised for cleaning.
Better Traction & Higher Speeds
The Loadall 530-60 Agri Super’s powerful engine boasts a 25% increase in dynamic tractive effort over previous models. JCB says the telehandler’s extra traction and power significantly boost productivity when bulldozing litter from chicken sheds.
A new two-speed hydrostatic transmission helps the 530-60 Agri Super reach a 40 km/h (25 mph) top travel speed. The machine relies on a Bosch Rexroth hydrostatic drive for a smoother ride. The telehandler has a 3.27-m (10.7-ft) maximum reach and a 6,360-kilogram (14,021-pound) operating weight.
More Power
The new Loadall has a 4.8-litre DieselMAX 4-cylinder engine with 97 kilowatts (130 horsepower). The lift also features 550 Newton-metres (405 pound-force feet) of torque. The motor’s output has a 7% increase over the same-size engine in previous models. It uses a compact selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and diesel particulate filter (DPF) unit to meet Stage V emissions standards.
Smart Hydraulics
JCB’s Smart Hydraulics package regenerates power from the force of gravity as the new Loadall lowers its boom in a controlled manner. The regenerative hydraulic system can reduce fuel consumption by up to 15%, the manufacturer says, and improve cycle time by up to 20% thanks to an array of efficiency features.
The new Loadall 530-60 Agri Super has a high-flow auxiliary system for more demanding attachments. JCB’s VariSpeed control separates engine speed from ground speed when using hydraulic attachments such as a bucket feeder or sweeper. The ag telehandler has a Smooth Ride System boom suspension and a bucket shake feature that requires minimal control input. Boom-end cylinder damping smooths out each cycle and increases material retention.
Improved Visibility
JCB improved the operator’s visibility from the cockpit of the Loadall 530-60 Agri Super by lowering the engine pod height. The company also fitted the cabin with new, improved mirrors to help the driver remain aware of the surrounding area.
Tall Tyres Option
Optional 24-in (610-mm) tyres give the new Loadall greater ground clearance and traction on muddy and uneven surfaces. The taller model has a lift height of 6.09 m (20 ft) and an overall width of 2.1 m (6.9 ft). JCB says it upgraded the Loadall 530-60 Agri Super with several features that were previously optional.
