 The engine is absolutly gutless in all honesty - this tractor would have trouble pulling a hen off it's nest - even on it's own a SMALL hill will knock it back to 35k on the road. DOn't get me wrong... it's a lovely tractor on a loader - but electronics are a problem and lack of power make this a poor machine. My advice - bite the bullet and go for a 5455 Tier III - much more umph under foot ! - I've ordered a 5480 now - 10 weeks to go... bring it on !

Problems:

 Lots of electrical problems... combined flow HD systems, electronic shuttle, soloniods various, loader softride, leaking hydraulics... you name it... it's gone wrong and all in 550 hours to date

Conclusion:

 I would not consider buying another Massey Ferguson 5445
